October Calendar
October is a great month to be an 11 year old Scout... and a Football/Soccer/LaCross player. Starting on Oct 21th we will now be meeting on WED at 4:00 at the Browns in hopes of making it easier for the Scouts to play sports and make it to patrol meetings. We will not be having Scouts on Oct 13th due to UEA.
We will be working on Orienteering this month. Please make sure your Scout brings his book and a compass every week. One of the weeks, weather permitting, we will be using their compass to follow an orienteering course which will have multiple locations charted out with a treasure at the last location. This is always fun for those who listen in the meetings and actually learn the required skills. By the end of the activity all the boys catch on and have a blast.
Court of Honor
October 6th at 7:00 PM we will be meeting at the Church for Court of Honor. This will be Scouts for the week so mark it on the calendars. Parents and Family are encouraged to come and show their support. Those Scouts that are 1st and 2nd class will need to contact Miguel Villalobos for their Board of Review, his Cell number is 801-828-7619. Please dress in your uniform, have your Scout Book and be ready to recite the Scout Law, Oath, Moto, Slogan and the Outdoor Code. Contact Richard Ewell ASAP if you have Merit Badges completed, he will make sure we have the blue cards signed and ready. Richard's number is 801-330-4914
Advancements are as follows:
First Class- Taylor Swain, Jacob Busby, Brady Robinson, and Carter Copeland (now a member of the Pedro's Patrol... boo hoo.)
Second Class- Michael Matthews
Scout- Jonathon Christiansen, Ethan Hirsch, Angelo Vargas, and Ashton Ewell
A few of the Scouts have also been working on Merit Badges and will be receiving them as well.
Should be lots of fun!!!
